Overall, dance shoes should fit comfortably snug. They should feel like a glove enveloping your feet. You may find that your correct shoe size, for dancing, is smaller than your regular shoe size. That could be especially true if you are in between sizes or have narrow feet. If you have standard width foot or don't plan to wear our shoes for dancing, then start by choosing your regular street shoe size. If needed, you can make a return for exchange or refund.

For open-toe designs, your toes should be close to the front of the shoe but not hanging over the edge. Generally speaking, your toes will be closer to the edge for dancing shoes than in your regular street shoes to avoid catching the floor during dance moves.

With wear, the leather will stretch, molding to the shape of your foot. The shoes will stretch across the widest part of your foot as you break them in, but they will not stretch in the length.

Axis Tango shoes are based on Italian/European sizing.

The wonderful Paso de Fuego men's tango shoes from Europe are now available for the first time in the United States at Axis Tango! Using the finest leathers and materials from Italy, Spain and Turkey and utilizing the decades of experience by skilled shoemakers, this label has had a devoted following in Europe since 2008. You now have the opportunity to experience the comfort for yourself!

This shoe has a perfect 20mm (2cm/0.78") heel that allows for a confident and wide range of dance motion. The construction is split sole, which gives you a feeling of soft and pliable shoe that molds to your foot. The regular width of this model is medium, although dancers with narrow foot might find it a good fit as well. Wide width is available as a made-to-order production.
